Military Flight School Graduation Photos with the Fusaro Family

This military flight school graduation in Fort Rucker, AL was a joyous family affair! Ryan had his wife Kelsea, their daughters Mia, Penelope, and Violette, and his dad, mom and grandmother at his graduation ceremony to celebrate this huge milestone in his career. I had the honor of photographing the family together on the airfield at the Knox Army Heliport, and Ryan’s graduation ceremony at the US Army Aviation Museum.

Military Flight School Family Day Airfield Session

For the airfield family session portion of this amazing graduation, we of course had to incorporate the Chinook helicopter you see in the background! This is the helicopter that Ryan flies. He went through several months of simulations, night flights, and more to become the pilot for this amazing helicopter!

The day ended up being overcast and a little gray, but Ryan was able to show his daughters the helicopter he flies and they got to explore it during this session. It was so surreal to see!

And of course, I have to shout out how gorgeous this whole family looked. Kelsea is also a photographer, so she was a pro when it came to rocking the outfit game for herself and the girls! They went for pink and neutral shades to compliment Ryan’s duty uniform. Such a stunning family!!

Graduation Ceremony at the Aviation Museum

I photograph a lot of military flight school graduations, and I think every single one of them is so heartfelt, endearing, and special. This one was no exception! After the ceremony where he was pinned with his wings, Ryan gifted all three of his daughters and his wife with necklaces that have wings just like the ones he received. This really showed that for Ryan, his graduation wasn’t just about his own accomplishments, but about his family. The girls were so giddy to get their matching wings!

Capturing the small moments that will forever be meaningful to this family gave my heart all the feels. The girls were loving on their dad. To see Kelsea admiring her husband and his strength, and Ryan's dad being so dang proud of what his son has accomplished, all of it was so fulfilling. I love to capture the in-between moments like these!

I am so glad Kelsea and I found each other through Instagram, and that she asked me to capture Ryan’s military flight school graduation. These moments are so special!
